Economic Development Meeting

As a part of the Howe Community Association, an Economic Development Committee has been established. This committee is working toward obtaining a revitalization grant for the Howe Community. Members of the committee are working with the LaGrange County Council and the LaGrange County Commissioners.

Some possible uses for the grant money include business and downtown development and revitalization, streets, sidewalks, streetlights, sewer and water. The main idea is to improve our community.

We do not plan to have many meetings in the next six months. However, there will be a meeting on May 15, 7pm at the Howe United Methodist Church. That meeting will include representatives from Fleis and Vanderbrink, the engineering firm that the Economic Development Committee chose from six total firms who interviewed for the job. This meeting is open to all businesses, civic leaders and interested persons. We will discuss the needs, concerns and priorities of the community.
